    • Reconstitution de la végétation et du climat en Iran sur 200 000 ans

    Pour la première fois au Proche-Orient une séquence sédimentaire lacustre couvrant 200 000 ans a été découverte. Son analyse a permis de reconstituer les changements environnementaux intervenus dans cette zone, éléments essentiels pour comprendre les variations de la dynamique climatique régionale, quasiment inconnues jusqu’ici. Cette étude, à laquelle a participé de s chercheurs de l’Institut Méditerranée d’Ecologie et de Paléoécologie (CNRS/Université Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille), a été publiée en ligne le 29 avril dernier dans la revue Quaternary Research.
