Activités récentes:

L’études du remplissage sédimentaires des plus vieux lacs et marais de France a permis d’apporter des lumières nouvelles sur les changements des écosystèmes et des climats au cours du dernier cycles climatiques (les derniers130 000 ans : cratère de Ribains, Velais et Grande Pile , Vosges). Pour le Velay une longue séquence continue permet pour la première fois en Europe moyenne de retracer les fluctuation du climat depuis 400.000 ans et d’identifier des modèles très différents de dynamiques forestières au cours des 4 derniers complexes interglaciaires.

Histoire de la végétation tardiglaciaire et holocène en France, dans les régions méditerranéennes et en Europe centrale.

Etudes sur la limite supérieure des forêts dans les Alpes.

Etudes sur les changements hydrologiques holocènes dans les lacs et marais, en collaboration avec G. Digerfeld (Université de Lund) et M. Magny (Université de Besançon).

Participation à la gestion de l'European Pollen Database.

Liaison entre Paléoécologie et Génétique des populations (pilotage du programme européen FOSSILVA liant recherches sur l'histoire forestière Européenne, phylogéographie et recherches paléogénétiques.
